The Republic of South Africa is a country located at the southern tip of the African continent. It borders the countries of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Swaziland. Lesotho is an enclave entirely surrounded by South African territory.

Grahamstown is located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. A few interesting (but tragic) facts on the Eastern Cape province;

The Eastern Cape is located on the south eastern seaboard of South Africa and is the second largest province with an area of 170 600 km² and represents 14% of South Africa's land mass. The capital, Bhisho, is conveniently located 200km from Grahamstown, one of two ports in the province, the other being Port Elizabeth.
