Accessibility Statement
The Rainbow Kidz website has been designed to be accessible to all web users, irrespective of individual abilities. This statement gives information about accessibility features, and levels of conformance to industry standards.
Standards compliance
All pages on this site conform to the following standards where possible:
- XHTML 1.0 Strict
- W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Double (AA)
Images
All content images used in this site include alternative text descriptions (descriptive ALT attributes). Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes. All content images have a 'title' attribute to provide additional information where necessary.
Links
Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article).
Links are written to make sense out of context.
Visual Design
This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. This site uses relative font sizes for content and main navigation links, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers.
Access Keys
Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that provide links to important areas of the site. Windows users can press ALT + an access key, followed by RETURN for those using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Apple Macintosh users can press CONTROL + an access key.
