We started 2006 with a target to raise £10,000. By the end of the year we actually raised £18,000! How was this achieved?

Most of the funds raised came from a number of events that we organised throughout the year. Here´s a snapshot of some of our most recent fundraising events:

April 2008 - The Flora London Marathon:

Dianne Reading combined her passion for running with helping Rainbow Kidz raise essential funds. Dianne raised a whopping £2000 for her efforts and we're eternally grateful to her. Well done Dianne!

December 2007 - 5 Mile charity running event:

Donovan Schreuder raised £550 with his individual effort. We´re very grateful for his part in helping Rainbow Kidz.

September 2007 - Sponsored Cycle:

Organised by Peter Koukoulis and took place around the Epping Forest area covering 35 miles of hard graft! The youngest cyclist was 4 years old (on a tandem with his Dad). We raised £1500.

July 2007 - South Africa Day:

This took place at Chigwell Police Club in Chigwell. Fun event for all the family with a braai (bbq), bouncy castle, face painting and tug of war. Organised by Catherine & Calvin Mahesh and their team of volunteers. Sponsored by Hunters Biltong of Leytonstone. We raised £950.

November 2006 - The Grand Raffle:

Funded and hosted by The Bathroom Shop and sponsored by John Lawrence, the Grand Raffle was drawn during a cheese and wine evening. This was a great evening and we raised over £6500!

October 2006 - 7 Notez of the Rainbow Concert:

An enjoyable evening of music with a number of professional artists. We raised over £650.

July 2006 - Sponsored Walk:

A fun, if not exhausting event! It raised over £1,100.

May 2006 - Murder Mystery Evening:

Also held at The Bridge Community Centre this was hugely successful. We raised over £700.

April 2006 - The Quiz Night:

Held at The Bridge Community Centre, the evening was a great success. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we raised over £650.
