Rainbow Kidz is a small charity that has a clear mission and focus to work with underprivileged children in South Africa. The prime purpose of the charity is to raise the appropriate level of financial resource through a variety of activities to build a new pre-school for underprivileged children in the Township of Grahamstown. The fundraising activities will be carried out by the charity under the direction of the Trustees.

The 2 key objectives are:

1. To build a school for underprivileged children in the Township of Grahamstown South Africa. This is how we will achieve this:

• The charity will identify and acquire the land, location for the building in 2006
• Deliver a number of fundraising activities in 2006 to achieve £10k
• Recruit sponsors that will provide appropriate level of sustainable funds
• To identify and involve schools in the UK, that will help in developing a high quality pre-school curriculum and to offer opportunities for fundraising and support
• To purchase equipment so that the center is fully resourced

2. In the long term the building will become a centre that offers wider opportunities and support for the community. This is how we will achieve this:

• We will work with the community to identify and recruit individuals to be employed at the school
• As an employer we will provide all employees with appropriate training
• We will identify, plan and deliver other activities such as enhancing parenting skills for pre-school children, providing sex educations as part of an Aids prevention strategy and be totally inclusive irrespective of cast, creed and religion

This forms the framework for our constitution.
