Most children in South African Townships endure impoverished conditions and lack the basic amenities that we generally take for granted. We believe every child has a right to a better future and we are committed to providing basic but essential facilities to enable these children to grow, learn and to fulfil their potential.
What is our immediate goal? To build a multi-purpose community centre in a neglected area of Grahamstown, in order to provide a pre-school for underprivileged children and other much needed facilities for the people of the local township. We have identified the following needs of the local community:
- Child care support
- Parental training
- Education for children and adults
- Basic medical care
- AIDS awareness education
- Social programmes involving all corners of the community
